Choate's Tactical stock has a CNC machined aluminum bedding block molded into the stock for a solid mount.

This stock is for Stagger Feed Short Action Savage rifles with a Action Bolt spacing of 4.275" Please measure the spacing for your action bolts before ordering.

There will be an 3/16 gap under the safety on all the Choate Savage Varmint, Tactical and Sniper stocks. The action should only touch on the V of the bedding block and back of the recoil lug. The gap at the back is normal for Savage actions when installed in Choate stocks.

Well built, sturdy, large barrel channel, tight fit. Great price point/value.

Purchased for my pre-accutrigger Savage 10FP in .308. I'm very happy with it after having it out a couple of times. The extra weight and wide features make it extremely stable on the bench or prone. I expect to get many, many years of use out of this stock.

Although I do like the stock I felt it was too heavy , Didnt care for the oversized barrel channel, the swing swivel studs on the side and especially the bipod stud on the rail which I havent been able to get firmly fixed on the gun allowing the bipod to come off. I do like the overall shape and feel.
